Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

I love jalapeno peppers, cream cheese and bacon! If you love all those ingredients, you are sure to love this yummy Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers recipe also!!! We always have an over abundance of jalapenos each year from the garden, so we love finding different ways of cooking them up!

Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

Stuffed jalapeno peppers makes a really nice side dish for any kind of meat! It’s also nice that you can cook them along side the meat on the grill. Even though we do ours on the grill, they can also be done in the oven. But, be warned! This recipe does have a little “bite” to it. If you like spicy foods you will love it, but this is not a recipe for the kiddos!

Ingredients:

Jalapeno Peppers (we used fresh from the garden) – just make sure they are of good size
Philadelphia Cream Cheese
bacon
garlic powder
onion powder
Season All
Chicago Steak Seasoning

NOTE: We use these same seasonings in a lot of our dishes, but they can be adjusted according to taste, use them or leave them them out – it’s up to you!

Instructions:

Split peppers in half length-wise and remove the seeds (the seeds create most of the hotness!)

Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

Place Philadelphia Cream Cheese in a bowl and microwave about 20-30 seconds, enough to get it pliable. Sprinkle enough garlic powder, onion powder, Season All, and Chicago Steak Seasoning to lightly cover the top of the cheese in the bowl. Mix well.

Stuff the peppers with this mixture.

After stuffing with the cheese mixture, wrap each half pepper in a piece of bacon.

Grill approximately one hour or until bacon is done. (can be done in oven at 350 degrees).

Not only are stuffed jalapeno peppers great for a side dish, they would make a great appetizer or party food!

  4. Great recipe, Diane!
I need to find an alternative to bacon. I am a vegetarian. But the recipe is really cool and easy. Time-saver, too.
I bet it looks great on a platter when a party needs to be served.
