This is a really quick and delicious recipe that came from a Kraft Velvetta booklet. Since the recipe was torn out of the booklet a while ago, I don’t have the exact name of it. But, it is so quick and delicious I wanted to share it with you! Another plus on this recipe is that it comes with a recipe for the leftovers, if you happened to have any
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onions
6 oz. Velvetta Pasteurized Prepared Cheese product, cut into 1/2″ cubes
1 cup Taco Bell Home Originals Thick ‘N Chunky Salsa
6 kaiser rolls, partially split
Brown meat with onions in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Return to skillet.
Add Velvetta and salsa; mix well. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook until Velvetta is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
Spoon evenly into rolls just before serving.
Velvetta Cheese Tacos:
Omit rolls. Prepare meat mixture as directed; spoon into 12 Taco Bell Home Originals Taco Shells. Top with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Makes 6 servings. 2 tacos each.
Jazz It Up:
For extra heat, prepare as directed using Velvetta Mild Mexican Pasteurized Prepared Cheese product with Jalapeno Peppers.
Cover and refrigerate any leftover meat mixture. Reheat, then spoon over split hot baked potatoes.
